Devereux’s Regiment

Devereux’s Regiment will be celebrating the 380th anniversary of the end of the first civil war in 1646 and the handing back of the town from the Governor, Colonel Nicholas Devereux, to the mayor and townsfolk at the market cross on Saturday 5th September.

From 1pm come and meet the soldiers and civilians who will be on hand to discuss their roles in this important period of history. At 3pm the regiment will form a guard of honour and formally hand back the keys of the town to the mayor.

To Build A Home - Exhibition by Malmesbury young artists

Exhibition at John Bowen Gallery, Malmesbury Town Hall.  Celebrating young local artists, this exhibition features the work produced during Caerbladon’s Summer Workshop programme led by Mareyam Smith.

The techniques used are inspired by the Victorian doll’s house created by Maryem as part of her course at Wimbledon School of Art.

The original house will be on display at Caerbladon throughout the exhibition.

Jackie Morris is one of Britains most popular illustrators and writers. She was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway medal in 2016 and won it in 2019 for her illustration of The Lost Words, voted the most beautiful book of 2016 by UK booksellers.
